Here's a little bit about me and my journey to 'at9'
It probably started in my early school years when needlecrafts (including knitting) were part of the weekly lessons for the whole class. Over the years since I have sewn, knitted, crocheted and made so many things for myself, my children, other people and my home, usually to create something bespoke and unique and sometimes because it made more sense financially!
And along came grandchildren - so now I am always on the lookout for unusual, on trend, stylish and good quality gifts and clothing for them and of course, they benefit from my 'making' activities.
Spurred on by this second time around chance to make things for children, I decided to use my experience, creativity and skills to develop my own range of carefully created, unique, trendy (and cool) items of baby and toddler clothing, accessories and even homeware.
I hand craft all items individually in the heart of the UK, carefully selecting materials in both modern and traditional colours, patterns and designs. I source materials from within the UK (locally wherever possible) but I do also get tempted to buy sometimes when on holiday abroad!
My aim is to create something different from that which you will find on the high street, something which may make a nod to the past but is up to date and on trend and something that will be a pleasure to own and hopefully pass on.
Some items are available only in limited numbers - so when they are gone they are gone! Some items are available ready made and others are made to order so please get in touch with me if you have any queries or wish to place a custom order.
As I make all my products individually, estimated turnaround is 2-3 weeks - I will be in touch if otherwise.
at9 - something different that will stand out!
